This track takes an empty Ravenna organization and turns it into a working AI service desk in Slack. It follows one worked example, Acme Inc.’s IT Operations team, so every step builds on the last: the channel you connect receives the form you build, the form triggers the workflow you publish, and the agent you deploy answers from the knowledge you import. Do it in order the first time. Roughly two hours end to end, and you can stop after step three and still have something useful running.
Each step offers an interactive walkthrough and a written version of the same instructions. Use whichever suits you, they end in the same place.

Get requests flowing

Three steps, about 20 minutes. At the end of this section, messages in Slack become tickets your team can work.

Set up your first workspace

Sign in, create a workspace for one team, connect Slack once for the whole company. 5 minutes.Start

Set up your first channel

Connect the Slack channel people already ask in, and watch your first message become a ticket. 10 minutes.Start

Set up a triage channel

Mirror every new request into a private channel your responders work from. 5 minutes.Start
This is a real stopping point. A channel plus a triage channel is a functioning ticketing system. Everything after this is about making it faster.

Make it structured

Two steps, about 25 minutes. Requests stop arriving as unstructured prose.

Set up categories

Give the workspace a classification scheme so tickets sort themselves and reporting has something to group by. 10 minutes.Start

Set up a form

Build the MFA reset form, so one common request arrives complete instead of starting a conversation. 15 minutes.Start

Make it automatic

Four steps, about an hour and a half. This is where Ravenna starts doing the work.

Set up your first workflow

Trigger on that form submission, route the ticket, and notify the right people, without writing code. 20 minutes.Start

Set up knowledge

Point Ravenna at the documentation you already have and test the answers before anyone relies on them. 20 minutes.Start

Set up an AI agent

Give it rules, knowledge, and tools, test it in a sandbox, then deploy it to your channel. 30 minutes.Start

Go live

Run the pre-launch checks, announce it, and know what to watch in week one. 20 minutes.Start

What you end up with

  • A workspace for one team, connected to Slack
  • A request channel that turns messages into tickets, and a triage channel your team works from
  • Categories that classify tickets automatically
  • One form that captures a common request properly
  • One published workflow reacting to that form
  • Knowledge indexed and tested
  • An AI agent answering in Slack, escalating when it cannot, and logging every conversation

Then what

Day one covers one team and one desk. From there:

Playbooks

Onboarding, offboarding, approvals, the Portal, SLAs, reporting.

Rollout checklist

Take it from a pilot team to the whole company.
